The Jazz acquired the rights to Koprivica from the Clippers as part of Thursday's Russell Westbrook-Kris Dunn swap, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports. Koprivica was drafted with the 57th overall selection in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Pistons, and then his draft rights were later traded to the Clippers in 2023, so this is the third time he's been traded despite never playing in the league. It seems unlikely that he'll be leaving his team in Serbia any time soon.

The Wolves announced Tuesday that Hifi had to leave Minnesota's Summer League team due to a family emergency, Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic reports. Hifi posted five points (2-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one assist in 13 minutes during Tuesday's 92-90 Summer League loss to the 76ers. While it's unclear when Hifi will return, his next chance to suit up is Thursday's Summer League matchup with Houston.

He can come off the PUP list at any point during training camp or the preseason, once cleared to practice, and there are still just over three weeks until New Orleans' preseason opener at Arizona. The 2020 first-round pick could emerge as a key part of the Saints' pass-rush corps for the 2024 season, health permitting.

The Twins activated Weiss (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday and outrighted him to Triple-A St. Paul, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Weiss has been out all season with a teres major strain in his right shoulder. He's healthy now, after having allowed six runs with an 8:3 K:BB over eight innings during his rehab assignment, which included stops at three affiliates. The Twins didn't have room on Weiss from the 40-man roster, but he'll remain in the organization as bullpen depth at St. Paul.

Maxwell has a 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and a 17:3 K:BB in 10.2 innings over his last 10 appearances for Triple-A Louisville. One of the best relief-pitching prospect in the minors, Maxwell came into the year with significant control issues, and that has still been an issue (16.7 percent walk rate on the year). He struggled initially after getting promoted from Double-A Chattanooga on May 21, but this recent stretch could make him an option for the big-league club in the second half.

Two immigrants from south of the border told the City Council Monday they were harassed when using hotel vouchers for shelter in Denver. Speaking through an interpreter, Leivy Ortega and Henry Aguilar said they received vouchers for hotel stays from an unnamed non-profit. But they had problems using the vouchers, they said. Ortega said she came to Denver from Connecticut and lived in her car for 15 days. She received a three-day hotel voucher, she said, but hotel staff initially would not honor it. She did not name the hotel. She said staff finally looked at her paperwork and gave her a room, but they wanted to charge her. for it. She said they initially weren’t going to allow her to stay because she has a service animal.
