Your guide to Whatcom’s Fourth of July fireworks, brewery parties, baseball games and parades

Another Fourth of July holiday celebrating our nation’s independence is upon us, and we’ve put together a list of Whatcom County events for those looking for fun events to celebrate the special day.
Fourth of July celebration at Trackside
Kulshan Brewing Co.’s Trackside beer garden is hosting a Fourth of July Celebration at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 4. The free event will include live music from 6:30 to 10 p.m., and views of the Bellingham bay fireworks at 10 p.m. The beer garden is also opening a third service station at the garden to accommodate more guests.

Fourth of July Spectacular in Bellingham
Peoples Bank, The Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Port of Bellingham are hosting The Fourth of July Spectacular starting at noon Thursday, July 4.

The free event will include food trucks, a beer garden, kids zone and a fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. at Zuanich Point Park at 2600 N Harbor Loop Dr. in Bellingham.
Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration in Blaine
Blaine’s annual Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration is back, and the town will celebrate the holiday from 8 a.m. into the night with a firework show at 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4.
Blaine’s Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration celebrates Independence Day in 2013. This year’s celebration will feature a pancake breakfast from 8-11 a.m. at the Blaine Community Center, the Show N Shine Car Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown, the Blaine Library Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., an arts and crafts street fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Peace Portal Drive and H Street, the Fourth of July Parade starting at noon along Peace Portal Drive, Plover Ferry rides from noon to 8 p.m. in the Blaine Marina, a seaside barbecue from 4 to 9 p.m. at Semiahmoo Resort, free live music all day, a beer garden from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and fireworks starting at 10:15 p.m. at Blaine Marine Park. The free event includes various activities throughout the day such as a parade a noon, a street fair, beer garden, pancake breakfast, children’s activities, a car show, live music and fireworks.
Fourth of July Blues, Brews & BBQ: Atlantics and Fireworks over Bellingham Bay , featuring live music, fireworks and BBQ, will run from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham on Thursday, July 4. The event features headliner band The Atlantics, who will play 1960s Motown hits, rock and rhythm and blues.
As Whatcom County prepares for the summer tourism season, places like the Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham, Wash., are noticing more bookings in spring 2021 from people from the Seattle area as well as from local residents looking for a staycation option. Tickets cost $75 per person and include a BBQ dinner featuring ribs, brisket, chicken, BBQ beans, elote corn, vegetables, corn bread, rolls, macaroni salad, coleslaw and more. Tickets are available online.

Bellingham Bells baseball game
The Bellingham Bells will have a home game at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, July 4, and will be giving away special red, white and blue hats to the first 900 fans to celebrate the holiday. Tickets are available online in advance or at the game.

If you want to see fireworks, the Bellingham Bells game at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 will be followed by fireworks directly after the game.
The game is at Joe Martin Field at 1220 Civic Field Way in Bellingham.
