Michael J. Fox is still on a high after his surprise appearance at Coldplay’s electric Glastonbury set over the weekend.

The beloved actor, who has been battling Parkinson’s Disease since 1991, left fans delighted after he appeared onstage in front of a 120,000-strong crowd at the annual music festival in England, UK.

The “Back to the Future” star joined the band for two of their songs during the encore section, where frontman Chris Martin launched into a freestyle riff in the middle of their 2021 hit “Humankind.”

“Oh yeah in case you were wondering…it was f–king mind-blowing. There is a time for every band and a band for every time. This is @coldplay’s time,” he added.

Accompanying his post, Fox also shared a series of images of himself enjoying the festival with his team, as well as another snap of himself in front of a sign that reads, “Optimism is a political act.”

After the actor left the stage, the frontman revealed that Fox was the reason Coldplay was formed in the first place.

“Especially thank you to the main reason why we’re in a band, is because of watching ‘Back to the Future,’” he told the crowd.

“So thank you to our hero forever, and one of the most amazing people on Earth, Mr. Michael J. Fox,” Martin added. “Thank you so much, our hero.”

Coldplay made history at the festival as this year’s appearance marks the British rock band’s fifth time headlining the five-day music carnival — the first act to do so.

Other headliners at this year’s 3-day festival included Dua Lipa and Shania Twain.
