Latina pageant seeking contestants

SELMA — The Miss Hispanic Heritage Johnston County pageant is seeking contestants ages 4-20.

The pageant has five divisions:

• Tiny Miss — 4-6 years old.

• Little Miss — 7-9 years old.

• Junior Miss — 10-12 years old.

• Teen Miss — 13-16 years old.

• Miss — 17-20 years old.

The annual pageant provides a platform for young Latinas in Johnston County to:

• Gain confidence and public speaking skills.

• Celebrate cultural awareness and pride.

• Connect with their community.

Apply online through Aug. 5 at latinosactivatejoco.com . The entry fee is $100.

The pageant is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at The Rudy theater, 300 N. Raiford St. Practice will be at 3 p.m. Sept. 8 at the theater.
