Pearl Jam is the latest touring act to be struck down on the road by an unspecified ailment.

The band took to social media on Sunday, June 30 to reveal the sad news, which resulted in the cancellation of two of their upcoming European concerts.

In a statement uploaded to X, the performers—which include founding members Eddie Vedder , Jeff Ament , Stone Gossard , and Mike McCready , as well as Matt Cameron and Boom Gaspar —apologized for having to miss the shows scheduled for Tuesday, July 2nd and Wednesday, July 3rd in Berlin, revealing that refunds would be made available and thanking fans for their "continued understanding and support."

In a more in-depth statement shared in the form of a graphic, revealed that “despite everyone’s best efforts, the band has yet to make a full recovery." While they didn't elaborate on what the members of the band were recovering from, they previously canceled their June 29 show in London "due to illness in the band."

“There was simply no other option based on our current health and also having to avoid further damage,” they explained at the time .

"The impacts of this decision are not lost on us,” they wrote on Sunday, commiserating with everyone that had “spen[t] their time, money, and emotional energy to get tickets [and travel].”

The statement continued, “…it is heart wrenching to have to disappoint you...Please trust we never take these decisions lightly and try to do everything possible to show up for you all.”

They further explained that, due to the current touring schedule, it wasn’t possible to reschedule the cancelled shows for a later date in the tour, which travels through other parts of Europe, the US, and New Zealand and Australia before concluding in November.

Last week, Neil Young appeared to cancel all remaining dates on his tour with Crazy Horse —as well as upcoming festival appearances—citing ongoing illness with unnamed members of the band after several of them came down with something in May, while Willie Nelson has missed several shows as part of the Outlaw Music Festival tour due to unspecified health concerns . Luckily for the latter, the 91-year-old has since been cleared by his doctors .

As of now, Pearl Jam is scheduled to resume performances in Barcelona, Spain, on July 6.
