Absolut Vodka Reimagines Andy Warhol With Limited-Edition Release Inspired by Long-Lost Painting

Absolut Vodka has teamed up with The Andy Warhol Foundation to unveil a limited-edition bottling inspired by a recently discovered original work. Available exclusively through global travel retail before rolling out nationwide in September, the release encapsulates a sliver of spirits history long rumored to have been lost to time. Warhol first collaborated with the brand in 1985 on a black- and pink-hued screenprint of the Absolut Vodka bottle. The piece inspired a smash-hit advertising campaign, eventually paving the way for more artist collaborations down the road; to date, Absolut has reportedly commissioned over three hundred and fifty artists to reinterpret its iconic silhouette, with famous entries from Keith Haring, Kurt Vonnegut and Ed Ruscha. In 2020, a second piece dubbed Absolut Warhol "Blue" mysteriously surfaced at auction after seemingly vanishing for decades. Reportedly commissioned alongside the original screenprint, the collector's item trades out neon-soaked colors for soothing shades of cobalt, navy and indigo. Ingredients

• 2 parts Cocoa Butter-washed Absolut Vodka
  • 350 grams Cocoa Butter
  • 700 ml Absolut Vodka
• 1 1/2 part Cornflake-infused Milk
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 50 grams Cornflakes
• 1 part Banana Liquor
• 1 part Sugar Syrup
• Banana chip with grated dark chocolate, for garnish

Directions

Day 1

• Fat Washed Vodka: Melt the butter, add it into a jar together with the vodka, store in a fridge overnight, filter the liquid.
• Cornflake Milk: Mix the milk and cornflakes in a jar and store in a fridge overnight, strain out the cornflakes and store the milk in a fridge.
• Refrigerate both overnight

Day 2

• Filter above ingredients and mix with rest of ingredients in a jar. Refrigerate overnight.

Day 3

• Strain liquid through a cheesecloth and then a coffee filter. Serve over one large ice cube in a rocks glass and garnish.
