HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says a contractor plans to complete ramp paving operations at the Interstate 69/Pennyrile Parkway/Western Kentucky Parkway interchange on July 2.

Officials say each of the ramps that were closed for paving last week will be closed one at a time for approximately one hour each to apply rumble strips and heat treatment to the new pavement.

The KYTC says work will begin at 7 a.m. with each ramp being closed for approximately one hour. Work will proceed in the following order:

    • Exit 106A – I-69 northbound to Pennyrile Parkway southbound
    • Exit 34A – Pennyrile Parkway northbound to WK eastbound
    • Exit 38C – WL westbound to I-69 northbound
    • Exit 34C – Pennyrile Parkway northbound to I-69 southbound
    • Exit 38B – WK westbound to Pennyrile Parkway southbound
    • Exit 106B – I-69 southbound to WK eastbound

Officials say engineers anticipate all exit ramp work to be completed by 1 p.m. There will be no marked detour. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
