Fans Stunned by Eugenie Bouchard's Unexpected 'Yard Work' Outfit

With summer in full swing, it's never a bad idea to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Canadian tennis pro, Eugenie “Genie” Bouchard, recently took to Instagram to not only show that she was enjoying the nice weather but was also getting some gardening. However, while many people throw on some old shoes and a hat when gardening to avoid ruining a nice outfit, Bouchard went in the opposite direction.

As seen on her Instagram, Bouchard was raking leaves and watering plants in a green swimsuit in a post that is now captivating the attention of thousands of fans.

“Sundays are for yard work,” captioned Bouchard on Instagram for a post that now has well over 100,000 likes. The former world No. 5 ranked player has been quite outspoken about marketing herself and maximizing the "sex appeal" in tennis, expressing in a past interview that she felt as if she has grown her brand in part because of it.

“Tennis, first of all, is a great sport for that sex appeal side,” Bouchard told YouTuber Valeria Lipovetsky in June. “We’re wearing short skirts, we’re wearing tank tops. It’s fun to turn on the TV and watch that. Right away, I was able to get great marketing deals off the court. Being asked to be in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition a few times.

“Exploring that path was definitely on my to-do list. It’s definitely part of who I am because I think it’s great.”

Bouchard played her last match in September of 2023, and now also plays pickleball professionally. She also made some television appearances for The Tennis Channel.
