The Academy Award winner told a group of people in Phoenix, Arizona, on June 29, in a moment caught on video and uploaded to social media, that things escalated quickly after he experienced a headache in 2023. “April 11th last year – bad headache – asked my boy for an Advil,” the 56-year-old began, before snapping his fingers and adding, “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything.” Jamie then recounted how his daughter, Corinne, and sister, Deidra Dixon, took him to multiple doctors. “Next doctor said, ‘Something going on up there,’” the actor explained as he pointed to his head, though would not specify on camera what the diagnosis was. The “Ray” star was hospitalized last April following an undisclosed “medical complication” while in Atlanta filming his upcoming Netflix movie, “Back In Action.”
