‘Don’t remember anything’: Jamie Foxx opens up more about last year’s medical scare

(WJW) — After suffering what his daughter described as a “medical complication” last year, Jamie Foxx has remained largely silent about what exactly led to him not being able to walk and in recovery for months.

“I had a headache, asked my boy for an Advil,” Foxx told people at an Arizona restaurant in a video obtained by Gossipofthecity . “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything.”

The 55-year-old Oscar winner explained a doctor told him “there’s something going on up there,” referring to his head. But then told the crowd: “I won’t say it on camera.”

People magazine confirmed Foxx was not on a movie set when the emergency took place on April 11 and that an ambulance was not used to transport him to the hospital.

The actor/comedian/singer was in Georgia working on a Netflix film called “Back in Action,” which also stars Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz.

At a special Critics Choice award ceremony in December, Foxx touched on his health issues.

“I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy because it’s tough when it’s almost over … when you see the tunnel,” he told the audience. ” …I have a new respect for life. I have a new respect for my art.”

Foxx currently hosts the show “Beat Shazam” with his daughter Corinne.
