Soccer Fans Appalled by Referee's Disrespectful Act Towards Christian Pulisic After USA-Uruguay Copa America Match

Christian Pulisic and the US Men's National Team lost to Uruguay in the Copa America by a score of 0-1 on Monday night.

It was another disappointing showing from the US team, who have now been knocked out of the tournament during the group stage.

While Team USA surely did not perform well enough as a unit during the game, they also were done a disservice by the terrible refereeing that took place.

After the game ended, Christian Pulisic attempted to shake the hand of the referee who nearly cost America the game.

But the referee refused to shake his hand.

X user @cjzero posted a video of this respectful act. And fans are enraged out what they're seeing.

"We shouldn’t even compete in this corrupt cup if this is how it’s gonna be officiated - dude had no control of the game and missed the most obvious offsides call ever," one X user wrote in response.

"Dude was paid off," claimed another.

"He did go off on the ref but for a ref to refuse, that's pretty low sportsmanship," a third fan said.

This has been a bad night not only for USA soccer, but for the entire Copa America.
