“Stranger Things” Actor Joseph Quinn Revealed How Taylor Swift Reacted Amid Their “Cringe” First Encounter

If you’ve ever found yourself fumbling your words when meeting a celebrity, you’re not alone — just ask Joseph Quinn .

This week, the Stranger Things actor appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and recalled his hilarious first encounter with Taylor Swift .

Joseph plays Eddie Munson in the Netflix series and is currently starring in A Quiet Place: Day One alongside Lupita Nyong'o .

Speaking with host Josh Horowitz, Joseph was asked to recall one of his most “cringe” moments.

He recounted, “I met Taylor Swift once, and I said, ‘You’re Taylor Swift.’ She was very funny. She said something nice about the show [Stranger Things] , and I said, 'Oh, thanks... You’re Taylor Swift.' Meant as a compliment.”

He added, “It’s definitely a compliment, but I remember thinking, That was fucking stupid.”

In spite of how "cringe" he found it, Joseph clarified that Taylor found the entire thing hilarious.

“She was very good-humored about it,” he said, before jokingly adding that the pair are still on “great terms.”
