'Bigfoot' with 'glowing eyes' growled while 'stalking' teenagers in Louisiana forest

Louisiana authorities were called to an incident over the weekend by teenagers camping in a national forest . The group of terrified teens claimed they were being stalked by an odd creature.

According to the group, the large beast had glowing eyes and was stalking them through the woodland, sparking suggestions that it might have been Bigfoot .

The strange encounter was detailed on Saturday through a Facebook update from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office .

They reported that some recent high school graduates, ranging in age from 17 to 18, from Houma had been camping in the Kisatchie National Forest.

According to the report, one of the teens "heard a growl and saw what appeared to be an animal that had glowing eyes and stood about five feet tall."

The camper wasted no time in dialling 911 "requesting assistance" for the unsettling experience.

Deputies arrived at the scene to find the scared teenagers and safely led them out of the forest.

The sheriff's office stated that their search yielded no evidence of any suspicious activity involving a growling creature with glowing eyes standing five feet tall.

The department speculated that the teenagers might have seen a bear or perhaps it "could have been a 'Bigfoot'".
