Not even OG Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney knows what the future holds for the Emmy-nominated reality series. The Something About Her sandwich shop co-founder revealed whether she’s “concerned” about whether the show will continue or cease to exist following its tumultuous eleventh season.

Maloney, who admitted she doesn’t see any of her castmates (except Ariana Madix when she’s not filming Love Island USA in Fiji), opened up about the cast’s prolonged break from filming while chatting with Amanda Hirsch on the July 2 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.

“I don’t even know what the future of Vanderpump is,” she said. “No one does at this point … It’s a weird — weird times.”

Page Six reported in May that production for Season 12 was put on pause to give the cast a “moment to decompress after two very rough, intense seasons.” The former SUR employees barely got a break after cameras picked back up to film the fallout of Tom Sandoval ‘s bombshell affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss in March 2023.

“I’m fine with [the pause] because I have not in 12 years had a summer,” Maloney said on the podcast. “It’s really nice to just have so much time to really focus on the [sandwich] shop, especially in the beginning of it all, and take like a trip maybe — just have time, really.”

She added, “I’m not gonna be concerned [about the future of Vanderpump Rules ] until it’s time to be concerned. And it doesn’t feel like this is time to be concerned.”

Maloney also noted that she thinks everyone in the cast “feels good” about taking a break.

Like she said, there’s no need to worry just yet. According to Bravo staple Andy Cohen , it’s completely normal for Bravo shows to take pauses every now and then.

“We used to do this all the time with the Housewives ,” Cohen, who is an executive producer on the Real Housewives shows, said on a May episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live , per Page Six . “We would say, ‘You know what, let’s put cameras down for four or five months and come back to them.’ And they will have lived life and things will be different.”

The first 11 seasons of Vanderpump Rules are currently streaming on Peacock .
