ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Police in St. Cloud are investigating after finding a body near Tech High School on Monday.The St. Cloud Fire Department was called to the 4200 block of 33rd Street South shortly after 11 a.m. for a small grass fire. The fire had broken out in a natural area next to Tech High School.Upon arrival, firefighters found a dead person in the area, police say.The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minnesota Fire Marshall's Office is assisting in the investigation.Police say there is no known threat to the public at the time.Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-251-1200. GETTY TOWNSHIP, Minn. — Two people were killed and two more injured in a crash in central Minnesota Sunday morning.It happened near Highway 71 and County Road 28 in Getty Township just after 7:30 a.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol.A driver in a pickup truck was heading south on Highway 71, while three people in an SUV were going east on County Road 28. The two vehicles collided, the patrol said.Two passengers in the SUV were killed: 30-year-old Lener Salgado of Melrose and 20-year-old Nayeli Hernandez of Sauk Centre, according to the patrol. The SUV's driver, a 23-year-old man, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.The driver of the pickup, a 54-year-old Sauk Centre man, was also hospitalized but is expected to survive.The state patrol said all involved were wearing seat belts and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.Getty Township is just south of Sauk Centre.

POLK COUNTY, Wis. — One person is dead and two others seriously injured after a crash in western Wisconsin late Monday morning.The Polk County Sheriff's Office says a crash involving two vehicles occurred on Highway 63 north of 50th Avenue around 11:36 a.m.A southbound SUV crossed the center line and struck a car traveling in the opposite direction. The passenger of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver suffered critical injuries and had to be airlifted to the hospital.The driver of the SUV, who was its only occupant, also suffered serious injuries, the sheriff's office says.The name of the victim will be released at a later time.An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
