Melissa Turner has resigned as the Executive Director of the Bell County Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber announced in a release sent out Tuesday afternoon.
“The Bell County Chamber of Commerce announces the resignation of Melissa Turner, who has served as the Chamber’s Director for the past year. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Melissa for her dedicated service and contributions,” the email read.

Turner said she was returning to her role at home as a full-time mother of three.

“It’s bittersweet to announce my resignation as the Chamber Executive Director, as I return to my role as a full-time mother of three,” she said. “Thank you to all the businesses and individuals who have supported me over the past year. It has been an honor to serve as your Chamber Director, and I will always be the biggest cheerleader for businesses in Bell County.”

In the interim, a team of committed leaders will guide the Chamber: the organization’s president Alex Barnett, vice president Rian Johnson and past president Janet Jackson. They are supported by the Chamber Board: Kevin Bisceglia, Elizabeth Bisceglia, Jennifer Branham, Johnna Callebs, Melanie Harris, Mike Long, Storme Neal, Chris Stotts and Chris Thompson.
“The Chamber is moving full steam ahead with exciting initiatives and support for our members. If you are not yet a member of the Chamber, now is a great time to join! We are available for ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and other special events to help promote your business,” the email added.

The 2024 Chamber Awards Dinner will be on July 26 at Pine Mountain State Resort Park. This event celebrates the incredible businesses and individuals that make Bell County thrive.
