    One dead after Licking County motorcycle crash

    BUCKEYE LAKE, Ohio ( WCMH ) – One person is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash Monday night.

    According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Alexander Snider, 21, of Somerset, was operating a 2022 Suzuki motorcycle on Cristland Hill Road near Buckeye Lake when the vehicle veered off the left side of the highway at a curve. The vehicle struck the embankment at approximately 6:03 p.m.

    The driver, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Highway Patrol was assisted by the Licking County Sheriff’s Office and Fire/EMS team at the scene.

    Troopers are still investigating the crash. They said they encourage motorcyclists to wear Department of Transportation-approved helmets.
