Tropical Storm Beryl to affect Texas next week.

Headline: Tropical Storm Beryl will affect the Texas coast early next week. The latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center tracks Beryl across the Gulf of Mexico and into Texas at Brownsville as a  CAT 1 with 75 mph winds on Sunday night. The storm will then move north over the state dropping significant rainfall over the lower half of the state. It is now time to plan for heavy rain and possible flooding in South Texas early next week. The winds from the storm will drop below hurricane force by Monday night.

What we are tracking: The remnants of Beryl will drop significant rain over South Texas with estimate ranging from 10 inches in Brownsville, 7 inches south of Corpus Christi and 4 inches in the Crossroads.

Extended Outlook: It's hotter that the Fourth of July through Satruday and then it's going to be flooding into the early part of next week. At this time no evacuations are anticipated. Storm surge will be affecting the coast but heavy rainfall will affect low lying areas. The time to prepare is now. Join us at 5,6 and 10.
