The highly anticipated debut of EA Sports College Football 25 is upon us. The long-awaited game is set to be released later this month.

For fans of certain schools, a new feature will be available as gamers compete in dynasty mode. According to College Football 25 developer James Bordeaux, "Pride" stickers will be periodically added to teams' helmets throughout the season.

For example, when an Ohio State player records a touchdown or a sack, they receive a sticker to place on their respective helmets. The tradition started over half a century ago, in 1968.

As the Buckeyes were on the cusp of winning a championship, longtime Ohio State trainer Ernie Biggs wanted to motivate the student-athletes to achieve more. Biggs developed the idea of rewarding players with a sticker that resembled a buckeye leaf to place on their helmets for each achievement.

Over five decades later, stickers have become a staple on college football helmets. Some other examples include Georgia's dog bones, Clemson's paw prints, and Florida State's tomahawk.
