SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Investigators are asking the public for help in identifying a person of interest in a identity theft investigation.

On Monday the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office released security images of a woman with lightly colored hair, glasses and wearing a red hoodie. The sheriff’s office said the woman was thought to have information relevant to an ongoing investigation.

In May, deputies were given a report from an Upstate woman who told them the woman in the photos used her information to apply for a credit card and a loan.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Matthew Ashcraft at mashcraft@spartanburgcounty.org, referencing case number 24050645.
