    Man arrested for robbing Fayette County gas station after being reported by girlfriend

    MOSSY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man has been arrested after robbing a Fayette County gas station and beating his girlfriend after she reported him.

    According to Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley, an armed robbery occurred at the Midway T&C Gas Station in Mossy on June 15, 2024.

    Investigations led detectives to be able to identify a suspect in the matter.

    Several search warrants were executed, and key pieces of evidence were recovered.

    On Saturday, June 29, 2024, deputies were contacted by the owner of the gas station who stated that they had spoken to the suspect’s girlfriend who positively identified the robber.

    On Monday, July 1, 2024, detectives received notification from the suspect’s girlfriend, who was currently in the hospital.

    When detectives arrived, they learned that the suspect confronted her about her speaking to the gas station owner.

    She stated he had strangled her, dragged her into the woods, and assaulted her with a handgun. She sustained serious injuries.

    Clinton H. Hall, 50 of Mossy, is charged with the felony offenses of 1st Degree Armed Robbery and Presentation of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony for his involvement in the Robbery of Midway T&C.

    Hall is also charged with the felony offenses of Kidnapping, Strangulation, and Malicious Wounding for his involvement in the domestic battery.

    Hall was arraigned by a Fayette County Magistrate and is being held in Southern Regional Jail with no bond.
