WESTFIELD CENTER — A new leader emerged Tuesday, but the 103rd Ohio Open Championship remains a wide-open affair after the second round at Westfield Country Club.

Cincinnati professional Daniel Wetterich fired a 7-under 63 on the North course to take sole possession of first place at 9-under overall. He'll have plenty of competition entering Wednesday's final round on the South course, with 10 golfers within three shots of the lead.

First-round co-leader Ali Khan, a senior at Ball State, is in a three-way tie for second place at 8-under. He's joined there by recent Indiana University product Drew Salyers and former University of Cincinnati golfer Jake Fox, who both shot 5-under 65s on the South course Tuesday.

Andrew Bailey, the defending Ohio Amateur champion, posted an 8-under 62 on Tuesday to tie a North course scoring record. That vaulted Bailey into a four-way tie for fifth place at 7-under. That group includes defending Ohio Open champion Michael Balcar and fellow first-round co-leader Maxwell Moldovan, who each shot 68s on the North course Tuesday.

Bailey birdied five of his first nine holes Tuesday and eventually tied the North course record of 2021 champion Jake McBride. Wetterich totaled five birdies and an eagle in his bogey-free round.
