Suspect in armed robbery arrested, accused of kidnapping and strangling woman

MOSSY, WV (WVNS) – A Mossy man is facing felony charges stemming from two separate incidents.

Back on June 15th, an armed robbery occurred at the Midway T&C Gas Station.

Detectives were later able to identify Clinton H. Hall as a suspect in the investigation.

On the 29th, deputies were contacted by the owner of the gas station who said they had spoken to the suspect’s girlfriend who identified the robber.

The suspect’s girlfriend later notified police during a hospital stay on July 1st.

Upon their arrival, she relayed that Hall had confronted her about speaking with the gas station owner and strangled her, dragged her into the woods, and assaulted her with a handgun which caused serious injuries.

Hall is charged with the felony offenses of 1st Degree Armed Robbery and Presentation of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony for his involvement in the Robbery of Midway T&C.

Hall is also charged with the felony offenses of Kidnapping, Strangulation, and Malicious Wounding for his involvement in the domestic battery.

Hall was arraigned by a Fayette County Magistrate and is being held in Southern Regional Jail with no bond.
