HONOLULU (KHON2) — A 2010 cold case is getting some additional attention as a reward was announced for information leading to the arrest and conviction in the case.

Amber Jackson, of Kapaʻa, was reported missing on June 23, 2010. Her body was found two weeks later by a pig hunter in a wooded area of Keālia, on the island of Kauaʻi.

KPD said an autopsy revealed 57-year-old Jackson died of blunt-force trauma to the head and that she had injuries consistent with an assault.

The story was shared on “Unsolved Mysteries” in 2010 and the Amber Jackson Justice Group continue to search for answers–offering the $20,000 reward.

“Our goal has always been to find and hold accountable the individual(s) responsible for Amber’s death. We believe that there is someone out there with information that could help lead to the apprehension of the killer(s). If you have any information that could help solve this tragic death, we encourage you to come forward and speak with investigators,” said Assistant Chief Kalani Ke.

Anyone with information can call the Kaua‘i Police Department at (808) 241-1711. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at (808) 246-8300.
