Angel Reese was recently announced as a WNBA All-Star, being one of two rookies on the roster. Reese joins Caitlin Clark as the only two rookies to be featured on the same All-Star team since 2014. Following the announcement, Reese went to X, making sure to call out all of her doubters.

"Write your own story. Prove yourself right before others. Do you. Be you. Don’t care what anybody say or has to think. Be who you are [and] everything will fall in place!" said Reese via X.

Reese had a historic day in the WNBA. She secured her 11th straight double-double—a WNBA record—and was also announced to the first All-Star game of her career.

Reese had previously talked about the doubters saying her game wouldn't translate to the league. She's clearly proved those individuals wrong, being the only rookie to average a double-double with 13.3 points and a league-high 11.4 rebounds.

While her message veered toward fans who have rooted against her, it also revealed true confidence in her craft.

Reese will be playing for the All-Star team on July 20, traveling to Phoenix, Arizona for the festivities.
