Lingering showers, storms tonight — what to expect on the 4th

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Traveling for the holiday? Lingering showers, mostly south, tonight. A few afternoon showers tomorrow, mainly around US 30. Another line of showers and storms Friday evening.

Showers and few storms continue to move out of the area. Lingering sprinkle is possible late tonight but drier overnight. Temperatures still warm and muggy, in the 70s.

Right now, the Fourth of July looks to be warm and muggy. The cold front that moves through Wednesday night will lift north as a warm front on Thursday.

Depending on the position of the front, scattered rain showers and a few storms mainly for southern communities. Final front passes late Friday with scattered storms late.
