What was flying through the sky in Hampton Roads?

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – People all around the Hampton Roads region saw something unusual in the sky Wednesday morning, but what was it?

WAVY 10 viewers from all across the region sent photos of the object flying through the sky around 5 a.m.

One WAVY viewer sent video of the object making its way through the sky in Virginia Beach.

A separate viewer from Franktown, Virginia sent a video of the object trekking across the water.

10 On Your Side’s Jeremy Wheeler confirmed the object was the SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket launch. According to Florida Today , the rocket launched just before 5 a.m. from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
