    Man arrested for second-degree murder in relation to Franklin County fentanyl overdose

    FRANKLIN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Deputies in Franklin County have arrested a man for his connection to a drug sale that reportedly led to a fentanyl overdose.

    The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office reported that Robert Lee Nevin was arrested for both second-degree murder and the manufacture, sale, or delivery of a controlled substance on Tuesday, July 2.

    They added that Nevin was arrested over three months ago for being in possession of more than 1,500 pills that were believed to contain fentanyl.

    He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond. Nevin is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, July 16.

    Nevin’s arrest comes as law enforcement in Tennessee steps up efforts to hold dealers accountable for drug-related deaths.
