Paulina Gretzky has been lauded by golf fans for her influence on Dustin Johnson ’s attitude after the LIV Golf star celebrated his birthday with a themed party alongside his family.
Johnson celebrated his 40th birthday last month with his wife and their two sons at a stunning house. The two-time major winner donned a cowboy outfit and played the part brilliantly as footage Gretzky posted on social media saw the four of them arrive at the venue in one of Johnson’s classic convertible cars.
The themed party saw their friends and family all enjoying the style and night as drinking games, live music and fireworks all entertained guests, as well as a massive birthday cake making its arrival as the night drew to a close. Paulina, the eldest daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, uploaded two posts to her Instagram of the night, with the latest post captioned: “country roads take me home”.
Fans quickly took to the comments section to praise the closeness of Johnson’s family and friends, as well as the golfer's Texan outfit. “I like Dustin because he has that ‘I don’t give a s*** attitude but is a good dude,’” they wrote.

Johnson and Gretzky finally tied the know in April 2022 after the couple got engaged back in August 2013. They welcomed their first son Tatum in January 2015 and their second child River in June 2017. The couple appeared to whether a bump in their relationship in 2018 when Gretzky removed all pictures of Johnson from her Instagram - sparking rumors they had split. However, concerns were settled when a snap of the couple kissing at the Ryder Cup was posted to Gretzky’s Instagram.
Johnson previously sat down with Golfweek after he was named the PGA Tour Player of the Year for 2019/20 where he gushed over watching his two sons grow up. “The best thing in the world is having kids. We’re lucky to have two wonderful boys. It’s really been amazing, watching them grow up and enjoying the time. They get to travel with us a bunch,” he said.
“I can see a little of me and Paulina in both of them, just in their personalities and the things they do. It’s funny. There are times when you watch them and say, ‘Where in the heck did you learn that?’ and then you realize, oh man, it’s from me."
Admitting that his priorities in life have changed since becoming a father, Johnson continued: “For me, golf was always the most important thing. And now, it's Paulina and the kids and they'll always be the most important. Obviously, I love the game of golf, competing and playing. But they're the most important thing."
