    HEAVY RAINS IMPACTING ROAD CONDITIONS

    Another round of storms and heavy rains are impacting road conditions across the area.

    Saline County Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden reports that at least one road in the county has had its box culvert dislodged by flooding early Wednesday morning.

    Several area roadways are impacted by floodwaters. As of 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, Route 23 at the Blackwater River in Johnson County and Route 127 at Salt Pond Creek north of Sweet Springs are closed because of high water. Several lettered routes are also closed because of flooding, including Route E at the Yellow Creek in Rothville.
