    Two arrested after drugs and guns found in Raleigh County home

    CRAB ORCHARD, WV ( WVNS ) — Two people were arrested after different amounts of drugs and multiple guns were found while an arrest warrant was being carried out.

    According to a press release, on July 2, 2024, deputies were serving an arrest warrant for Joshua Trotter, 43, at a home on Pebblestone Drive in the Carb Orchard area. While trying to serve the warrant, responding deputies found drugs in the home and gathered a search warrant for the home.

    During the search, deputies found 41.3 grams of Fentanyl, 13 grams of methamphetamine, and 3 grams of what was believed to be heroin. They also found and seized two guns during the search.

    43 year-old Joshua M. Trotter was arrested on the original warrant while also having new felony charges added. He was also charged with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Distribute, two counts of Being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and one count of Conspiracy.

    Carey Trotter, 40, of Beckley, was also arrested as a result of the search. She was charged with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Distribute, two counts of Being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and one count of Conspiracy.

    Both Carey and Joshua Trotter are waiting for their arraignment while being held in Southern Regional Jail.
