Jingliang Li vs. Carlos Prates Added to UFC 305 Lineup in Perth

Jingliang Li will lock horns with Carlos Prates in a welterweight tilt at UFC 305 .

Prates confirmed the booking on social media following an initial report from UFC Weibo . UFC 305 takes place at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, on Aug. 17 and is headlined by a middleweight championship clash between Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya .

Li hasn’t competed since September 2022, when he suffered a split-decision loss against Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 279. The 36-year-old China Top Team representative is 11-6 since beginning his promotional tenure in 2014. His ledger includes wins over the likes of Muslim Salikhov , Santiago Ponzinibbio and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos .

Prates has kicked off his UFC career with back-to-back knockout victories over Trevin Giles and Charlie Radtke . The Dana White's Contender Series alum has won eight straight professional outings, a streak that dates back to December 2019.
