Heat Advisory Issued for July 4th as South Florida Temperatures Soar

Miami, FL — The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties in South Florida. The advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. on July 3 until 8 p.m. on July 4 for inland and Metro areas. During this period, temperatures could feel as high as 110 degrees due to the combination of heat and humidity.

Residents and visitors are urged to take precautions to stay safe during the extreme heat:

Nighttime temperatures will drop slightly but are still expected to feel like at least 90 degrees . Additionally, there is a 40% chance of precipitation on Independence Day , with rain likely to increase as the day progresses.
