One of the unexpected guests at the 2024 Manning Passing Academy was legendary New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick. The recently “mutually parted” coach was in attendance working with the younger campers and, more notably, connecting with some of the elite college quarterbacks who worked the camp.

As seen above, Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers was among them, and was seen speaking with Belichick on the field for nearly 10 minutes. While no one learned what was shared between the two men, their relative star power and – ahem – affinity for similarly aged cheerleaders, sparked an influx of jokes from the internet.

Yes, the Mr. Steal Your Girl takes are dead on, but whom is Mr. Steal Your Girl in this equation?

Both men are passionate about elite football, and both are dating 20-something cheerleaders. Ewers’ girlfriend is a cheerleader at – wait for it – Oklahoma, while Belichick is currently dating a former cheerleader at Bridgewater state who is nearly 50 years younger than himself. Those connections made for enough commonality to inspire all the jokes we need to fuel our offseason dead period.

Of course, there were some comments hat alluded to the more serious discussions the two men could have been sharing, with both a nod to Ewers' collegiate success and, in one case, a potential reunion at the next level?

Tip your cap to the internet for a job well done. Let's just hope we can get more pithy commentary when Ewers meets up with other celebrities on the sidelines during Texas' inaugural S

    EC season.
