    Here’s what was seized by a Florence County violent crimes task force in June

    FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Authorities operating a violent crimes task force in Florence County arrested four fugitives and seized an assortment of drugs, guns and cash during June.

    Criminal charges filed in 26 different cases included being a violent felon in possession of a firearm; possession of a stolen pistol; unlawful carry of a weapon; possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine; trafficking cocaine; possession of methamphetamine; failure to stop for a blue light; possession with intent to deliver marijuana; possession of a stolen vehicle; driving under suspension; and grand larceny.

    WHAT WAS SEIZED

    • 856 grams of marijuana
    • 15.2 grams of cocaine
    • 23.79 grams of meth
    • 14.9 grams of crack
    • 35 dose units of pills
    • 13 guns
    • $6,277

    The task force is made up of street crime and narcotics officers with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office and the Florence Police Department was formed in August 2022. Its officers conduct focused and visible enforcement of traffic laws in high-crime areas within the county.
