Unseasonably cool with occasional showers on Friday

WHAT WE ARE TRACKING: Showers continue overnight and through Friday with unseasonably cool conditions . Dry and slightly warmer conditions briefly return on Saturday.

NEXT 24 HRS: Areas of light rain or showers continue overnight with just some light rain amounts. Coverage of these showers will be widely scattered at best. The low sits over the region on Friday, resulting in some showers, with breezy and unseasonable cool conditions. Any of these showers will light, with an increase in coverage during the afternoon hours.  Temperatures will only climb into the upper 60s to low 70s. Cloud cover decreases Friday evening.

LOOKING AHEAD: Although some showers are possible Saturday afternoon, rain chances increase Saturday night and Sunday as another system dives south into the region. More systems or fronts will impact the area Monday through Wednesday, resulting in shower and thunderstorm chances, although more of the nuisance variety. We do not expect significant rainfall during this period, and there will be plenty of dry periods. An extended dry period is looking more likely after Wednesday, with high temperatures returning to seasonable levels (low to middle 80s) by the weekend. Even warmer temperatures are possible by the start of the following work week.
