    Just under 200 AES Ohio customers reporting power outages as storms roll through

    UPDATE @ 9:15 p.m.: Just under 200 AES Ohio customers, mostly in Montgomery County, were reporting power outages Wednesday night as strong storms rolled through the Miami Valley.

    Here is the latest count of 182 outages, by county, at 9:15 p.m. from the utility’s online outage page:

    * Montgomery 175

    * Fayette and Highland 2 each

    * Clinton, Greene and Logan 1 each

    The high number of outages for the day reached an estimated 1,742 late Wednesday afternoon as the storms predicted by Storm Center 7 began hitting the region. More than 1,500 of those reported outages were in Miami County.

    The number of outages dropped to 988 about 6 p.m., and to 894 about two hours later.
