    Tropical Storm Beryl to bring heavy rain to Texas

    Headline: Fourth of July and Beryl. The holiday weekend will continue on the hot and steamy side and things will be good until Saturday. By Sunday, showers will start moving in and get heaviest for Monday.

    Wednesday rainfall

    What we are tracking: Hurricane Beryl is still smashing through the Caribbean and will continue moving west toward Yucatan. The storm will weaken over land and reemerge over the Southern Gulf. The current forecast brings the eye of the storm as a tropical storm on Sunday night about 50 miles south of Brownsville. Then the rain will spread up into the state. Get home on Sunday as early as possible. Monday is a wash out.

    Extended Outlook: Enjoy the long weekend, but remember. Get home on Sunday as early as possible, By Monday heavy rain will affect most of South Texas. Areas south of Corpus Christi expected to receive over 12 inches of rain. And 2 to 4 inches of rain expected in the Crossroads.
