STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Deputies from the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) picked up three animals, and two were sent to recover at the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center.

Deputies rescued an injured eagle and a bird with a broken wing — and picked up a turtle from a driveway.

“We have affectionately named [the eagle] Flight Schrute,” SCSO stated in a Facebook post. “The ill-eagle activity was quickly addressed.”

On Tuesday, SCSO said a deputy picked up an Eastern river coooter turtle from a driveway in the Summerwood subdivision.

The Eastern river coooter was named Mishell Pfeiffer, and is “having a shell of a time,” the sheriff’s office stated.

“Mishell posed for a shellfie and was subsequently released back into the wild … averting this turtle disaster!” SCSO stated in a Facebook post.

Then, over in Aquia Harbour, a bird, which was believed to have a broken wing, was rescued from somebody’s backyard.

SCSO named the bird Charlize Heron.

The sheriff’s office said Charlize Heron was sent to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center for treatment.

    “That was heron-dous!” SCSO stated.
