Jason Smith: "The NBA Needs A JAG (Just A Guy) Salary Cap"

On this episode of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon, Jason Smith & Steve DeSaegher discuss the possibility of a salary cap being created for JAG (just a guy) type players since Jason thinks that’s negatively impacting free agency.

Jason Smith: "You know the NFL needs a quarterback salary cap, but the NBA needs a JAG (Just A Guy) salary cap, because this is what's killing free agency and killing teams from being able to go get players. This is such a big deal that 3/4th of the league can't afford Isiah Hartenstein, he's getting more money than Jalen Brunson. . . . and it's not just Hartenstein, it's other players, too. Another example is a guy that's going to come off the bench, play 22 minutes a night, and he's getting $28 million a year and outside of five teams, they can't afford that.”
