Hating on Angel Reese? That's a big red flag.

The star WNBA rookie has become a flashpoint for criticism since entering the league, but pushed back this week with a blunt message. Reese took to social media to reshare a post from a user calling out those hating on her.

"Hating Angel Reese is a red flag for real," the Chicago Sky forward reposted .

There are plenty of others echoing the message, including former NFL quarterback turned commentator Robert Griffin III. After Reese was named to the WNBA All-Star squad, Griffin said even the "haters" should recognize her accomplishment.

"Angel Reese has had 9 straight double-doubles. That ties a WNBA record held by Candace Parker," Griffin wrote on X , formerly known as Twitter. "I mean even her haters gotta put down that haterade and recognize how impressive this is."

Reese spoke more directly to her critics on July 2, saying her All-Star spot is a strong answer to those who doubted whether she could make the jump from college to the WNBA.

"I'm just so happy. I know the work I put in," Reese said, via ESPN . "Coming into this league, so many people doubted me and didn't think my game would translate and I wouldn't be the player that I was in college or better or would be worse and wouldn't be where I am right now.

"But I trusted the process and I believed and I'm thankful that I dropped to [pick No. 7] and was able to come to Chicago. And like, it's just a blessing. I can't thank my teammates and my coaches enough for just believing in me and trusting me. I know all of them are going to come to Phoenix and support me. So I'm really happy right now."
