Where to watch fireworks on July 4

MADISON, Wis. -- There's nothing quite like fireworks on the Fourth of July, and in south-central Wisconsin there's lots of places to choose from to watch the colorful spectacle.

Below is a list of fireworks shows and other events that you can check out on the Fourth of July.

• WaunaBoom -- 2 p.m.-10:30 p.m. (Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.) -- Ripp Park (213 Dorn Drive)
• Monona Community Festival -- 9 a.m.-Midnight (Fireworks begin at 9:20 p.m.) -- Winnequah Park (1055 Nichols Road)
• Shorewood Hills Fireworks -- 9:30 p.m. -- Blackhawk Country Club
• Stoughton Fair -- 8:30 a.m.-9 p.m. (Fireworks begin at dusk) -- 400 Mandt Parkway
• Maple Bluff Fest on the 4th -- Fireworks begin at dusk -- Beach Park (365 Lakewood Blvd.)
• Mazomanie Independence Day Celebration -- Fireworks begin at dusk -- Lion's Park (Park Street)
• Lake Mills Fourth of July Fireworks -- Concessions open at 5 p.m, fireworks at dusk -- Seljan Company grounds (100 South C.P. Ave.)
• A Lake Leota Fourth -- Festival from noon to midnight (Fireworks at dusk) -- Lake Leota Park (5 Antes Drive)
• Whitewater Fourth of July Festival -- Fireworks launched at 10 p.m. rain or shine -- Cravath Lakefront Park (341 South Fremont Street)
• Milton Rhythm & Booms -- Festivities from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. (Fireworks at 9 p.m.) -- Schilberg Park (301 West High Street)
• Fourth of July Fireworks and Family Fun (Wisconsin Dells) -- Live entertainment from 2 p.m.-8:30 p.m. (Fireworks at dusk) -- Behind municipal building at 300 LaCrosse Street
• Lone Rock Fourth of July Celebration -- Festivities from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. (Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.) -- Fireman's Park (291 West Exchange Street)
• Pops on the Rock (Beloit) -- Concerts at 7:30 p.m. followed by fireworks -- Harry Moore Pavilion (1160 South Riverside Drive)
