JEFFERSON COUNTY (WTAJ) – Hundreds of people gathered in Brockway to celebrate the 58th annual Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration.

Multiple different events happened throughout the day to celebrate Independence Day and to support local groups and organizations.

“This is the 58th year that they’ve done the 4th except for the year of COVID, and the nonprofits and fundraiser groups really depend on it to help them get through the rest of the year. Each year they add something new and its just a great time and really family friendly,” President of the Brockway Kaimanns, Malissa Martino said.

The community waits for the celebration throughout the year to meet new people and reconnect with old friends.

“You run into different people no matter where you go. And every year we come down and we run into people that we haven’t seen for a year. So its nice coming here and seeing folks we haven’t seen for a long time,” Andy Hoy said.
