UNION COUNTY, S.D. (KCAU) — Union County has launched a new disaster a lert system through Hyper-Reach.
According to a release from North Sioux City, the new system will alert Union County residents of floods, tornadoes, and more.
Flood damage needs to be reported by July 12, North Sioux City says The system will automatically send out a variety of notifications such as 911 outages, blizzard warnings, child abductions, emergency warnings, and evacuation warnings, among a variety of other weather-related alerts.
“By signing up for Hyper-Reach you will receive alerts 24/7 365 days a year when community hazards are taking place,” the release said.
You can sign up for the alerts on the Hyper-Reach website. You can also receive these notifications through the Hyper-Reach Anywhere app on both Apple and Android devices.
