"He needs to go to the gym and worry about his health" - Charles Oakley attacks Charles Barkley for announcing retirement from his TV career

Charles Barkley shocked the entire sports world last month when he announced his plans to enter retirement from his television career. Embattled by TNT's uncertain future in the NBA as well as the countless speculations of his next move to find his new media home, the beloved 'Inside the NBA' analyst set the record straight by noting that the upcoming 2024-25 season will be his last.
But amid everyone's demise in this decision made by Chuck, Charles Oakley can only be happy to take a sigh of relief as the Hall of Famer will finally leave the broadcast booth.
Oak savagely rips Chuck
In a recent interview with Brandon' Scoop B' Robinson, Oakley didn't hold back blasting Barkley for his public declaration to retire from TV, noting that the 61-year-old should have considered it sooner rather than later with his outspoken demeanor.
"Who gives a f*ck about Charles Barkley? He needs to go to the gym and worry about his health," Oak argued . "His mouth is gonna get him in trouble. I mean, he's a clown. Point blank. He looks for attention, and the stuff that he says now, he would have never said [those] back in the day about no player. Somebody would've hit him in his f*cking fat mouth."
In typical Oakley fashion, we cannot get anything more than his fiery remarks. The retired big man was an imposing stalwart who wasn't a fan of drama back in the day. He directly approaches things and doesn't mince words when expressing his opinions. Yet behind this, we also have to be aware that Chuck and Oak have a longtime beef with each other , and stuff like this is nothing new about them.
A considerable move
Albeit harsh, Oakley's point seems reasonable. It might be devastating for us, but retiring is a fitting path to consider for Chuck. He dedicated most of his life to basketball. No one fully deserves to take a break from the stressful grind of constantly being in front of the camera other than him.
Sir Charles couldn't expect unsolicited words about his retirement intentions from Oak, as both share one of basketball's infamous bad blood that extended beyond their playing days.
