    (Reuters) - Highlights of the fifth day at the Wimbledon tennis championships on Friday (times GMT):

    2018 SINNER EASES PAST KECMANOVIC

    World number one Jannik Sinner breezed past Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic 6-1 6-4 6-2.

    The top seed will meet the winner of the match between American 14th seed Ben Shelton and Canadian Denis Shapovalov, which will resume on Saturday.

    1822 RESURGENT RADUCANU SINKS SAKKARI

    Former U.S. Open champion and British wildcard Emma Raducanu dominated Greek ninth seed Maria Sakkari, beating her 6-2 6-3 to reach the fourth round where she will face qualifier Lulu Sun.

    1724 GAUFF FACES NAVARRO NEXT

    Second seed Coco Gauff beat British qualifier Sonay Kartal 6-4 6-0 to reach the fourth round, where the U.S. Open champion will play fellow American Emma Navarro, the 19th seed.

    1629 ALCARAZ OVERCOMES TIAFOE

    Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz had to dig deep to fight off American 29th seed Frances Tiafoe, winning 5-7 6-2 4-6 7-6(2) 6-2 to reach the fourth round.

    1555 DIMITROV DOWNS MONFILS

    Bulgarian 10th seed Grigor Dimitrov beat Frenchman Gael Monfils 6-3 6-4 6-3 to reach the fourth round.

    1544 RAIN SUSPENDS PLAY ON OUTSIDE COURTS

    Play on the outside courts was suspended due to rain, leaving only play on the Centre Court and Court One, which have roofs.

    1512 BADOSA STUNS KASATKINA

    Spain's Paula Badosa dumped out 14th seed Daria Kasatkina, beating her 7-6(6) 4-6 6-4 in the third round.

    1511 KEYS SETS UP PAOLINI CLASH

    American 12th seed Madison Keys beat Ukrainian 18th seed Marta Kostyuk 6-4 6-3 to reach the fourth round where she will take on French Open finalist Jasmine Paolini

    1415 NAVARRO KNOCKS OUT SHNAIDER

    American 19th seed Emma Navarro beat Russia's Diana Shnaider 2-6 6-3 6-4, setting up a potential fourth round clash with fellow American Coco Gauff who plays later today.

    1349 PAUL TAKES DOWN BUBLIK

    U.S. 12th seed Tommy Paul eased past 23rd seed Alexander Bublik, of Kazakhstan 6-3 6-4 6-2, extending his winning run on grass to eight matches to reach the Wimbledon fourth round for the second time.

    1341 PAOLINI BEATS ANDREESCU

    Seventh seed Jasmine Paolini beat Bianca Andreescu 7-6(4) 6-1 to reach the fourth round.

    1005 RAIN DELAYS START OF PLAY

    Matches on Court Two and the outer courts are delayed due to heavy rain since the morning.

    Showers are predicted throughout the day, with the temperature currently around 17 degrees Celsius (63 degrees Fahrenheit).
