About 13 minutes later and approximately three miles away, deputies were called to a mobile home park on Appaloosa Road.

That’s where they found a man in his 20s who was shot, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, but neither survived.

On Friday, deputies identified the man who was shot on Sailfish Street as 45-year-old Jose Carrasquillo.

Investigators initially said they’d also detained the person responsible for the shooting and there was not a threat to the community.

They identified that man Friday as 48-year-old Leandro Correa. According to the sheriff’s office, Volusia County deputies found Correa at a Circle K in DeBary and brought him back to Orange County to be interviewed by detectives.

Correa is being held in the Orange County jail on no bond, charged with first-degree murder for Carrasquillo’s death. According to the sheriff’s office, Correa’s motive for killing Carrasquillo was drug-related.

Deputies have identified the man who was shot on Appaloosa Drive as 27-year-old Eduardo Soto.

Since he’s already being held for Carrasquillo’s murder, investigators say they’re taking additional time to develop their case against Correa for Soto’s death and haven’t shared any additional information on what the motive for that shooting was.
