South American rivals Uruguay and Brazil face off in the quarterfinals of Copa America 2024 on Saturday night, with the winner meeting the Colombia vs Panama victor in next Wednesday's semifinal.

Uruguay, No. 14 in FIFA's world rankings, is a slight underdog to No. 4 Brazil, according to odds across the sports betting marketplace.

Uruguay vs. Brazil odds: Spread, moneyline, total for Copa America quarterfinal

Here are live Copa America betting odds for the Uruguay vs. Brazil quarterfinal matchup at top-rated US sportsbooks.

Uruguay dominated Group C, winning all three of its games with a +7 goal differential. The side has allowed only one goal all tournament and none in its last two games. Brazil has not been nearly as strong, with two ties, one win and a +3 goal differential , coming second in Group D to get to the knockout rounds.

    Uruguay betting news and analysis

Uruguay does not have the world-renowned superstars it had in its last generation, with players like Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani at the tail end of their careers. Cavani is not on the squad, and Suarez, at 37 years old, has been used as a substitute. Those two players have accounted for 126 goals for Uruguay in their international careers. This Copa America is the first look at the next generation, and it has been an impressive team-oriented approach.

Through three Copa America matches, seven different players have scored for Uruguay, with Darwin Nunez and Maximiliano Araujo scoring two each. Veteran goalkeeper Sergio Rochet, 31, has not been tested much but has been ready when needed, saving five of six shots for an 83.3% save rate. He is tied for the fewest goals allowed in the tournament.

The defense has been solid in front of Rochet, but the key to Uruguay's impressive run has been its clinical finishing. Uruguay's nine goals have surpassed the six expected goals, per advanced stats. That is the type of performance La Celeste needs to take down highly-ranked Brazil.

    Brazil betting news and analysis

Brazil's 2024 Copa America performance has been underwhelming. Seleção Canarinho , unlike Uruguay, have not been playing to their capability. None of that matters, though, as the Brazilians remain alive in the competition. Their mediocre performance can be forgiven as long as they find ways to advance.

Part of the problem for Brazil has been missing star power in the final third, with neither Neymar nor Richarlison on the squad due to injury. Add to that, Vinicius Junior, the only player with more than one goal for Brazil in Copa America, is out due for this quarterfinal because of yellow card accumulation. Brazil will be desperate to find some creators to score against a solid Uruguay defense.
