NFL analyst believes New York Giants rookie star could have massive impact

As the New York Giants look to bounce back from a brutal 6-11 season, much of their hope will hinge on the development of rookie sensation Malik Nabers.

The No. 6 overall pick from the 2024 NFL Draft will have a significant role in the offense immediately and already has shown immense upside from the spring practices.

Ian Cummings of Pro Football Network believes Nabers can have a massive impact during his rookie season while being a threat at all three levels.

Nabers broke out in 2023, distinguishing himself as a venerable three-level threat at the WR position. He can separate and generate RAC in isolation with his twitch and explosion, and he has impeccable catch-point instincts and proactivity on the attack.

It's a pretty standard notion that the second wide receiver off the board in the draft will have a big impact in Year 1. But the Giants offense needs it to happen.

As quarterback Daniel Jones enters a questionable future that relies much on his performance in 2023, he should lean heavily on Nabers as his top target in the passing game.

While Nabers can't solely carry the entire offense, his impact in Year 1 should be strong and immediate.
