‘Super Bowl of the summer’ | Vigo County Fair begins

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Fair kicks off this weekend.

It is going to include dozens of food vendors, carnival rides, 4H activities, and grandstand activities throughout the week. This year they are adding some new food vendors, an alpaca and llama barn, and a train the tours the fairgrounds.

The fairgrounds’ event manager Jenny Hamilton said it is very fulfilling to know she is a part of bringing joy to families every summer.

“It is very rewarding to all of us as our board of directors is strictly volunteer,” she said. “This is our Super Bowl of the summer, so we are really excited to have everybody down here.”
